The Silvi Group Companies have been in the construction supply business since 1948.
Initially, they were in the ready mix concrete business, but after a few years they began
to expand into the mining industry.  They opened several small sand quarries and grew at a   slow but steady pace.  Now, sixty years later they hold one of the largest reserves of sand in    the region.

Another oportunity to expand presented itself when a paper mill on the Delaware River     became available.  The Silvi's recognized the importance of the deep water port and the potential commercial warehouse space the large mill presented.  Riverside Industrial Complex was born.  It now houses one of the largest cement importing terminals in country and has 250,000 sf of available warehouse space.

But the Silvi's weren't finished yet.  They made some aggressive moves in the early 2000's
and procured two stone quarries.  One in New Hanover, PA and one in Belle Mead, NJ.
These allowed Silvi to become totally integraded.  Having sand, stone, and cement gives
them a leg up on most concrete suppliers.

The point in sharing this history is that all these businesses require a tremendous amount
of equipment to operate.  They are continuously replacing mixer trucks, tandems, loaders,
and construction equipment that has been well maintained.  Their shop runs two shifts of
experienced and qualified mechanics.
